The total of gold obtained from the bodies of the standing figures was ninety-eight thousand three hundred mithqāls. The silver ones exceeded two hundred pieces, which could not be weighed until they were broken up and placed on the pans of the scales. Then the Sultan gave orders concerning the rest of the idol-temples, and they were struck with naphtha and fire, and their roofs were made places for feet to tread.
