حمدوبه این عشوها چون شکر بخورد ، وبر آب کار سوی ماهی رفت ودست دراز کرد ، رسهای دام بجست وپای حمدوبه سخت بگرفت ومحکم بست ، وماهی از دام جذا شذ ، روباه بیشتر رفت ، وماهی خوردن گرفت ، حمدونه گفت : آن چیست که نو می خوری واین چیست کی مرا سخت گرفتست ، جواب داذ کی پاذشاهانرا از بند وزندان چاره بوذ ، ورعایارا از لقمه وطعمه 1 گریز نباشذ (2/2) حکما بر سندباذ تنا کردند وگفتند :

The sages praised Sindbād and said:
