رنگ گلت از دلم سرشتند چونان کی زعشق تو گل من 3واز مدت مهد ، تا وصول این عهد ، مهر بو در دل من بوذه است، شب وروز نامهآ عشق بو می خوانم ، وسور وآیات مصحف وداد بو ازبر می کنم ، جانم در بند هوای تست ، ودل در عهدهٔ‌ عهد وفای نو ، عتابهای هجر نو بسیار است ، وحسابهای وصل بو بی شمار :

The color of your rose was kneaded from my heart, / just as my clay was kneaded from love for you.
And from the time of the cradle until the arrival of this present age, your love has been in my heart;
night and day I read the epistle of love for you, and by heart I recite the chapters and verses of the book of affection for you;
my soul is bound to desire for you, and my heart is pledged to the covenant of fidelity to you; the reproaches of separation from you
are many, and the reckonings of union with you are beyond count:
