بنامیزذ بنامیزذ نگه کن تا توان بوذن غلام آن چنان روئی کی گل رنگ آرذ از رنگش دل از خزینهٔ‌ سینه بدا می کرد :

To be the slave of such a face, from whose hue the rose borrows color!’
The heart proclaimed from the treasure-house of the breast:
‘Cast all the tales of Egyptian Joseph into the well; / my sweet-lipped Turk has arrived, make way!’ /”
