من انکار کردم ، وبران اصرار آوردم ، کی من این چنین کس بددم ، ونام وکنیت او نشنیذم . لختی الحاح ولجاج کرد ، ووعید وتهدند در میان آورد ؛ چون مغید سوذ دشنامی چند بداذ ، وروی بدر بیرون نهاذ؛ ومن

I denied it and persisted [in stating] that I had not seen such a person, and had not heard his name
or patronymic. He insisted and disputed for a while, and brought forth warnings and threats;
when it proved of no avail, he uttered several insults and set his face outward; and as for me,
