قد قلصت شفتاه من حفیظته فخیل من شدة التعبیس مبتسما چون مار درسله خزیذ ، وچون خارپشت در سوراخ شکم دوید ؛ گفتی این معنی در وصف او گفته است :

His lips drew back from his fury, / so that from the severity of his grimace he was imagined to be smiling.
