زر اگر مایل خران نشذی حلقهٔ‌ فرج استران نشذی وزر وجامه ، وپیغام ونامه باز فرستاذ ، وجوابهای درشت داذ جوان با دلی پرحسرت ، ودماغی پر فکرت ، یهلوی غم ، بر بستر الم بهاذ ؛ واز سر دردی ، برنم وجدی می گفت :

If gold were not the inclination of asses, / it would not be a ring for the vulva of mules!”
And she sent back the gold and garments, the message and letter, and gave harsh answers.
The youth, with a heart full of regret and a brain full of anxious thought, placed the side of grief upon the bed of pain;
and out of intense sorrow, in the melody of ecstasy, he kept saying:
