8. 15 داستان عاشق وگنده پیر وسگ گریان جوان را عذار ارغوانی ، در تحمل مشاق فراق زعفرانی شذ ، واز حمل اعبا واثقال هجر ، کی از ارحام ماذر بوایب دهر می زاذ ، تیر قد ش کمان وار خم گرفت ، وعرعر قد وصنوبر قامتش از آسیب صرصر حدثان ، وعواصف و محنت روزگار شکسته شذ ؛ از جمال وصال ، با مذ شذ خیال خرسند می بوذ، وبذین بیت تعلل می نموذ :

and weights of distance—which the wombs of the mother of worldly calamities kept bearing—his arrow-straight stature bent like a bow,
and the juniper and cypress of his form were broken by the violent blasts of fate and the tempests and afflictions of the times;
deprived of the beauty of union, he was content with the phantom of imagination,
