‘Honor to it, yellow one whose yellowness has charmed, / traveler of horizons who has intended his journey;
His reputation and fame are recounted; / within his lineage the secret of wealth has been deposited.’
Success in his endeavors accompanied his fortune, / and his nature made him beloved to mankind.
The halter of the world and the vanity of its goods assumed greatness in his heart, and the demon of lust
seized the reins of his ambition. He thought to himself: 'My wife possesses both beauty and flirtatious coyness,
as well as charm; it would be prudent for me to bring her so she may deck herself out in ornaments and finery,
and go to the prince for an hour. If the organ is indeed this, on account of its feebleness no
intercourse will take place, and we will spend this gold on expenses and useful purposes.'
