Eka-bhūmi-vidhiṁ vakshye lākshaṇaṁ vakshyate’dhunā।
Jātiś chhandaṁ vikalpaṁ tu chābhāsaṁ tu chatur-vidham।
Pūrva-hastena saṁ-yuktaṁ harmyaṁ jātir iti smṛitam।
Chhandaṁ tri-pāda-hastena vikalpaṁ syāt tad-ardhakam।
Ābhāsaṁ chārdha-hastena harmyādīnāṁ tu mānayet।
