(7) Shaḍ-vidhaṁ durgam āsthāya purāṇy-atha niveśayet । Sarva-saṁpat-pradhānaṁ yad bāhulyaṁ chāpi saṁbhavet ॥ Dhanva-durgaṁ mahī-durgaṁ giri-durgaṁ tathaiva cha । Manushya-durgaṁ mṛid-durgaṁ vana-durgaṁ cha tāni shaṭ ॥ Then follows the description of details of these fortified places.
