The *Nārada-purāṇa* practically completes the Purāṇas' contributions to architecture. In a single chapter it describes the construction of pools, wells and tanks as well as temples.⁹ The *Liṅga-purāṇa* supplements the contributions by adding an account of the construction of sacrificial pits together with a description of temples and the installation of deities therein.¹⁰
