Thus we have two other readings, viz., '*śiṃśumāra-giriṃ*' and *śiraḥ* from the Mss. The reading in all the printed editions of the Vulgate text is '*śiṃśumāra-śiraḥ*'. The Kumbakonam edition (Ch. 200. 24) also confirms it. We have therefore to examine the original reading as to whether it was '*śiraḥ*', '*puram*', or '*giriṃ*'.
