The gods—all the gods and goddesses in the various cults of the past and future—were gathered together in the primeval germ of Viśvakarmā. Whatever man’s fancy has created in the religious disciplines of the past or whatever it will create in future, is an intellectual emanation from Viśvakarmā who is one and only one name-giver to many gods (*yo devānāṁ namadhā eka eva, Ṛig., X. 82.3*).
