151. *Amalakī Krīḍā*. Sohanvijaya *Kalpasūtra*, Fol. 34. It is related that once, while hearing the prowess of the boy Mahāvīra from Indra, a god assuming the form of a serpent went to the play-ground of Mahāvīra and coiled round the tree with which the boy played. At this sight, the boys took fright, but Mahāvīra, quite unafraid, caught the serpent and threw it away.
