After considering the various designations, I think that our choice lies between the ‘Apabhramśa’ or ‘Corrupt Style’ and Western Indian school, the former laying emphasis on the decadence of style and the latter emphasising the geographical area of its origin. I, for my part, would prefer the designation ‘Western Indian school.’
