The illustrated copy of the Uttarādhyayana Sūtra, dated 1472 A.D., belongs to the Sanghavī Mandananā Samgraha, Māndavagarh⁴⁷. Another copy of the Uttarādhyayana, bearing no date, but probably datable to the middle of the 15th century, belongs to Srī Hamsavijayajī collection in the Ātmānand Jñāna Bhandār, Baroda. Its catalogue number is 959. One of the miniatures reproduced here represents a monk seated near a tank (Fig. 169)⁴⁸. The importance of these miniatures lies in the fact that they are out of the common run of the Kalpasūtra miniatures, and, therefore, of quite refreshing nature.
