The pohoya-gē just referred to is a rectangular building, erected on a solid foundation within the consecrated limits of twelve boundary stones (sīma gal) embedded in the ground; it is the priests' meeting and confession hall; bare of furniture within, except for some big wood chests with iron locks and handles, it has a boarded and painted ceiling, massive doors with inlaid iron locks, and several windows; such buildings are of course only found where a considerable number of monks reside, not being required otherwise.
