There is much good woodwork remaining at Vaṭṭārāma, Pinnavala, Kaḍigomuva, Levkē and other vihāras in the Three or Four Kōrales. The work at Pinnavala and Kaḍigomuva, says Mr. Bell, is “a storehouse of information on Sinhalese sacred and secular zoology and conventional floral design.” The Malvatte and Asgiriya Pansalas in Kandy are full *Woodwork* of good eighteenth century woodwork. In the Kandy Museum there are also remains cf fine doors and door-frames and other architectural woodwork.
