Mr. Gooneratne also remarks, “(1) I have confined myself to translating the original literally. (2) In some places the text is so vague, as regards the exact positions of the parts of which measurements are given, and the terms used are so uncommon, I am not sure whether my rendering is quite correct. (3) Several of the verses had to be recast, of course embodying the exact meaning of the gloss, nevertheless there may be deficiencies. . . .
