“The second part which is confined to the making of images of Buddha, is more complete; only a few of the verses are missing, but those that were found were full of errors and omissions, and were deficient in metre. I had them collated with three copies which I procured. It is curious, however, that the missing verses and omissions in one copy were nearly the same in the others, leading me to infer that they must be copies of one original work. . . .
