White (*sudu pāṭa*).—This is prepared from hydrous magnesite (*makul*, or *kova makul*) obtained from a cave known as the *makul gal-lena* at Vetekgama near Maturaṭa. It is often mixed with other pigments to make pink, grey, etc.
