When Kirti Śrī, after the return of his embassy to Siam, received the three Siamese ambassadors, “the audience hall was adorned with awnings and hangings of silk and gold embroideries. And here our mighty king, the lord of kings, seated on his throne, received with all graciousness the three Siamese ambassadors who brought the letter and presents from their king. They were at the same time presented with three embroidered tuppoṭi, three red and three yellow, an extra one being given to the ambassador who carried the king’s letter; various presents were also given to the attendants.”*
