Copper is more sparingly used than brass; but in the case of lime boxes (*killota*) we find, perhaps, more examples in copper than in any other metal. The finest example is that shown on Pl. XLVI., 10. This very old specimen is of copper filigree set with cabochon glass over foil in lieu of garnets. The design and workmanship are bold and romantic, and the form unusual. Copper *killota* of the more usual form are shown on the same Plate in Figs. 11 and 12; it will be observed that inlay of silver wire on copper has a specially clear and good effect. On Pl. XLIIIA, 1, is shown a very handsome copper *keṇḍiya* or water vessel from the Ridī Vihāra. The neck and lid are set with cabochon garnets, and the neck, base and spout are beautifully chased with *liya pata* scrolls. Fig. 2 on the same Plate represents a horn powder flask mounted in silver-plated copper filigree.
