² Sukranītisāra, Ch. I, l. 526: पुरं दृष्ट्वा राजमार्गान् सुबहून् कल्पयेन्नृपः। In my opinion the rendering of this line by Professor Benoy Kumar Sarkar is erroneous which runs as follows: "The king should lay out many roads according to the number of towns."
