The chapter dealing with Nrttamurtilaksana in Kasyapiya gives in detail the features and measurements of the image. The snake coiled round the front right arm (missing in this image) is not indicated in the dhyan mantra but is suggested by the laksana "Avayaprakosta-madhye tu vujanga balayam nyaset". As to the measurements, the most important is the height of the upraised leg which is directed to be on a level of the navel (udhrtanghristu-jānwordham nāvi sutram samam bhabet"). The end of the cloth waistband (angabistaram) should touch the arch of fire (Prvānandalmisnty-udarabandhēndo).
