one temple serves to symbolise the Three Aspects of the One. There may, however, be another explanation of the appearance of Siva's symbols in this temple—that it is a Vaishnavaite shrine appropriated for Saivaite worship. But in either case the Three Aspects are represented in the structure of the temple—Brahmâ in the cubical cell for the image, Vishnu in the sikhara, and Siva in the domes of the mandapams and of the shrine.
