In the last chapter, having known the structural details of the parts of the fort belonging to the early historical and the early Kadamba periods besides noting the later additions and renovations made to the fort it is appropriate to study the fort of the Chālukyas of Bādāmi. For as known from the history, the Chālukyas, during the early part of the 6th century A.D., gradually established their political authority overpowering the Kadambas and began to extend their Kingdom gradually.
