The next ruler Ibrahim II (1580-1626 A.D.) was ambitious, so much so that he got constructed a new city called Naurespur (1962, P.73) about 6½ of km. west of Bijāpur. The new city was within a fort wall provided with good water system, roads, stately buildings and religious monuments.
