These bastions (with diam. 20 m. to 30 m) in solid ashlar masonry, are provided with flights of steps on the inner side. On the top are huge guns, fixed on pivot points, which could be rotated in a semi-circular way. These guns are so fierce that at one stretch, they can destroy hundreds of enemies.
