Palæolithic naturalism is sublimated into a modelling where concave and convex surfaces are of equal value, and where an edge-sharp line acts not only as highest plastic accent (parallels across back) or precise contour, but itself is endowed with sensitiveness (see the horns and the fan-like treatment of the dewlap).
