v1.c4.s3.5
²⁵ The Kṛta Yuga or Satya Yuga, which is the Perfect or Golden age, is followed by the Tretā, Dvāpara and Kali Yugas successively. Their duration is, respectively, 4,000, 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 years of the gods. One day of the gods is equal to one year of men (‘Manu Smṛti’, I. 67). 400, 300, 200 and 100 twilight years of the gods precede and follow each Yuga. The four Yugas with their Sandhyās are one Yuga (mahāyuga), of the gods.
