The transepts are formed by the lateral balconies of the ambulatory (pradakṣiṇa) and by those of the Mahāmaṇḍapa. The Talacchanda, the rhythm of this unified plan, is akin to those of the schematic plans (pp. 250, etc.) drawn following the ‘Samarāṅgaṇasūtradhāra’’.
