v1.c9.s9.7
⁵⁶ This applies also to the proportions of the wall or pillar and door. Their total height is commensurate to their width. The pillar is higher than the door by 1/7th, 1/8th or 1/9th of its own height and the width of the door remains, as in the earliest texts, half of its own height ('Śilparatna' XXII. 3). See note 10, Part VII.
