The names of the four Vimānapālas are Nyakṣa, Vivasvān, Mitra and Kṣattā (Vaikhānasāgama, VIII). Vivasvān and Mitra are names of the Suns, the Ādityas, —south and west of the Brahmasthāna in the Vāstupuruṣamaṇḍala--Kṣattā is Brahmā and Nyakṣa means ‘whole’.
