v2.c12.336

The Gavākṣa net of the three inner offsets of this Pañcaratha-śikhara, has its meshes assembled in a well knit pattern; its 'centre pieces' give definition to the diminishing Bhūmis, on the edges of the superstructure. Each Bhūmi is clearly demarcated while all are united in the simplicity of this monument. The curve of the superstructure appears continued in the opposite sense by the proportionate projections of the socle; convex in the Śikhara, it is seemingly concave along the edge of wall and socle; this effect is strengthened by accompanying shadows (on the left of the Prāsāda).
