v2.c12.359
The impetuous and disciplined upward rush—it has an oblique rhythm here—of the various hosts of Gaṇas or Vidyādharas in the lower row, and other similar groups (Pl. LXXIV), are amongst the minor themes of mediaeval temple sculpture in which is caught the movement in the atmosphere and the steadfast agitation in the heart of the Bhakta.
