The Śārdūla panel on the left is sunk into the antepagment (siṃhaśākhā) in the corner between the doorway and the wall of the Antarāla, at a right angle to it. The fillet of rosettes is the side of the antepagment, and borders on the wall whose scroll panel is seen in a strong artificial light. Next to it, a pilaster projects; it is set off against a lateral facet.
