The height of the door, it is repeatedly stated in the V. Dh., is double its width.¹ This too is in agreement with the norms of Chart I. The height of the door however as module of the building was not generally accepted in those Śāstras. Excepting the ‘Garuḍa Purāṇa’, I. XLVII. 14-16, it is not included in their several norms of the 20 Temples.²
