[ 11 ] The *Tīrtha-cintāmaṇi* of Vācaspati Miśra is supposed to be a work of the 13th century. It contains brief descriptions of all the principal places of pilgrimage which a pious Hindu should make it a point to visit at least once in his life. Its account of Puri is elaborate, and the description of the car festival in it takes up over forty pages.
