Indeed, in one instance (p. 173), it is said that, having destroyed ninety and nine out of the hundred cities of the Asura, Sambara, Indra left the hundredth habitable for his protégé Divodāsa, a terrestrial monarch, to whom a metropolis in the firmament would have been of questionable advantage.
