“Ta jaloralakhila bāranasi hiranonivenayti apparently, he distributes much gold at Benares (Sanskrit : *vārānasam hiranyāni visirjati*)—all that follows is too uncertain until we approach the verb,—*anekani dato (deva ?) maniratanāni aharapayati* ‘he gives as charity innumerable and most precious jewels’.”
