v2.c16.5

The highest point of the Khaṇḍagiri Hill, on which in perched a modern Jain Temple, is 123 feet high, lat. 20º 15′ 50″ N. long. 85º 49′ 34″ E. The highest crest of Udayagiri is 13 feet lower. These heights have been ascertained by actual survey made by Mr. Beck for this work. The measurements were made from the Byrāgi's Maṭh at the foot of the Hills, and not with reference to the sea-level. The farthest point of Dhavalagiri is probably higher.
