Sivites all over India commemorate the event by fasting the whole day, and worshipping the god at the four watches of the night. At Bhuvaneśvara a hundred thousand *bel* leaves are offered at the four *pūjās*, and offerings are also made to an image, the left half of which represents Hari and the right half Hara.
