4. *Kapila Yātrā.* This is one of the few festivsls observed at Bhuvaneśvara which have no sanction in the Śāstras. It is even so unritualistic as not to be held on a particular day of the moon. It is held on the first Saturday of the solar month of Phālguna, when Candraśekhara, the proxy of Bhuvaneśvara, is taken to the temple of Kapileśvara, a little over a mile to the south-east of the Great Tower, and there entertained with music, dancings and rich viands.
