6. *Nava-patrikā.* It takes place on the 7th, the 8th, and the 9th of the waxing moon in Caitra, and corresponds with the Vāsantī pūjā, a from of Durgā pūjā or the vernal feast of Bengal. On this occasion Bhuvaneśvarī, the wife of Bhuvaneśvara who is no other than Durgā under another name, is worshipped in the same way as Durgā is in Bengal. There is an image of the goddess in the small temple to the south of the porch of the Great Tower, and this is brought out on the occasion, but no clay image is made, as in Bengal, to represent her.
