⁸ Three copper-plates have lately been discovered at Cuttack, in two of which Yajāti gives land to Northern Brāhmaṇs a locality near Cuttack; he names "Dakṣiṇa Kośala" or the Kośala of the South, obviously in contradistinction to the Kośala of the North.
