“Thus be-praised and solicited by the husband of her who is the daughter of the snowy mountain, opening his eyes, Viṣṇu smilingly replied: ‘Listen to my words Śambhu, I speak for your good. I shall with pleasure grant you room for your [64] abode here, but you must give me a solemn pledge that you will always abide here with all your retinue, and never go back to Kāśī.’
