v2.c17.92
Close by the southern entrance on the left hand side there is a square chamber with a pyramidal roof, which, from the outlines of ornaments punched on it, appears to have been originally designed for an elaborate piece of workmanship, but was never finished. The room contains several small brazen images, which are carried about on ceremonial occasions as substitutes of the presiding divinity of the Great Tower. In front of the last, on the right hand side of the entrance to the porch, a pillared chaultry was undertaken, but forsaken after the columns had been built to the height of four feet. Its area is now covered over with a thatch. On the north side, right in front of the mullioned window and close by it there is a large temple, and several small ones close by it.
