**Gosahasresvara Temple :**—Close by is a tope, in the centre of which there is a tank called the Gosahasra Hrada, and by its side a temple dedicated to “the lord of the thousand head of kins”—Gosahasreśvara. According to the *Ekāmra Purāṇa*, it was in this tope that the Devī first saw a herd of cattle which poured their milk on the *liṅgam*, and hence she removed it to the vicinity of Vindu-sāgara, where she encountered the demons Kīrti and Vāsa (p [66]). Neither the tank nor the temple is of any antiquarian interest, and the architectural pretensions of the latter are of the slenderest.
